MGM Mirage agrees to deal for UK casino - 2004-02-05
MGM Mirage will construct a hotel-casino next to one of the biggest retail centers in the United Kingdom, company officials revealed Tuesday.

MGM Mirage officials reported that they had reached a deal with The British Land Company PLC to construct a $364 million to $455 million leisure and entertainment complex next to the Meadowhall Shopping Center in Sheffield, England. The shopping center is owned by The British Land Company, one of the United Kingdom's most lucrative property companies.

Plymouth wants city casino voyages to end - 2004-02-05
Bus trips to casinos are popular in the senior citizens market.
They’re cheap, they can offer safety in numbers, and they’re convenient for people who would prefer not to drive.

But the mayor of Plymouth, 55 miles east of Merrillville, believes his city should quit offering recreational trips to Lake Michigan casinos for seniors.
