Coalition battles casino endangerment - 2004-02-06
Monroe and other Fairfield County suburbs are wasting no time moving on blocking the threat of a potential casino in the region.
With the Bureau of Indian Affair's latest recognition of the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation, the Lower Fairfield County Coalition has currently begun the fight.
"We track the Indian recognition process because they have a great effect on our community," insisted Nunn. "Also, it seems their aim is often to have a casino, and that will have a great effect on the quality of life."
