New Lake Stevens casino proprietors promise cooperation - 2004-03-01
The proprietors of the Highway 9 Casino and Barclays North Inc. are working with neighbors of the soon-to-debut casino to alleviate residents' inquiries.

"We know it will take time for them to get used to us, and that they'll have more issues now than they'll have in six months," casino co-owner Randy Williams explained. "We're very conscientious about where we're at. We try to be good neighbors. We actually do care and we want to be good players in the area."

Washoe Board Cuts Casino Worth - 2004-03-01
In a motion spurred by the spread of California Indian casinos, property values for two of Reno's largest hotel-casinos have been cut another $34 million.

Leslie Martin, Mandalay Resort Group treasurer spokesperson for both the Silver Legacy and Circus Circus, blamed the resorts' sluggish income on last year's launching of the Thunder Valley Indian casino close to Sacramento.
