Vegas casino does it for 'love' - 2004-03-01
Legends casino converted its showroom into a Las Vegas-like chapel Sunday as 58 couples pledged to love and cherish each other in front of almost 3,000 family members, close friends and complete strangers.

The casino offered enough food for the couples and their guests, which featured a buffet feast and beverages. Legends' chef, Ron Morre, baked 58 wedding cakes, and the casino also supplied the minister, who made it legal.

Penn National Defeated in Illinois Gaming Proposal - 2004-03-01
Penn National Gaming Inc., Wyomissing, has lost its proposal for Illinois' only lasting riverboat gaming permit.

One of seven groups to offer proposals for the lavish license, formerly held by the bankrupt Emerald Casino Inc., Penn National lost out Wednesday to finalists Harrah's Entertainment, Isle of Capri and privately held Midwest Gaming and Entertainment.
