Casino fight goes all the way to State Supreme Court - 2004-03-12
The battle over whether more Native American casinos should be permitted in Michigan has gone all the way to the State Supreme Court.

The high court could decide by late July on a case filed by foes of casinos currently open or scheduled by four Indian tribes in Michigan.

Casinos are currently existing in Petoskey and Manistee.

Casino gambling more reality than you think - 2004-03-12
Fulton County Commissioner Rob Pitts’ bid to bring casino gambling to Georgia took an additional move forward last week.
The casinos could only go in counties that have entertainment regions, like Fulton County’s Underground Atlanta. Before the casinos could launch, though, the resolution reads that a majority of constituents would have to support the issue.

Pitts’ research indicates that just two full gaming casinos in Fulton County would garner over 4,000 jobs and generate $200 million for the county and its 10 municipalities.
