My reaction to the March 9 article "Goodman considers videotapes public record":

Rather than griping over the county paying a livable wage, why not take the casinos to task for for paying a skimpy wage in a community where the median price of a new home is well above $200,000 -- a price few casino employees could afford to pay. Casinos declare billions in winnings annually in your paper and could well afford to divide the wealth with their workers.

Lunar realtor hit with new investigation - 2004-03-13
A woman facing charges of embezzling a bank of hundreds of thousands of dollars also is being probed for allegedly bilking two other people out of over $1.3 million.

She was spotted in January by two Chatham-Kent vacationers in Las Vegas, selling hand cream at a mall kiosk close to the entrance to a casino.
