Georgetown officials listen to bid for hotel and slots - 2004-03-16
The odds look stacked against an enterprising bid to create a hotel and casino complex in the heart of Georgetown. Still, partners in Sussex Entertainment Enterprises LLC put their cards on the table at the March 10 assembly of the Georgetown Town Council.

Sussex Entertainment Enterprises has signed a deal on the Georgetown site for $8 million, but needs to secure town and state authorization to proceed. Current Delaware legislation permits only the state’s three horsetracks to host slots gambling.
