Casinos suspected of being cheap with grants - 2004-03-17
New Zealand's six casinos have been suspected of being stingy in making grants to community groups and sports clubs.
The GamblingWatch lobby group has made the accusation following an examination of grants made by casinos compared with the nation's poker machine trusts.

He said that non-casino pokies allocated at $313 million to the community in 2003, while casinos could manage only a little over 1 percent of the community support grants.
