Sin City unlucky for accused sniper - 2004-03-17
The accused in a string of sniper-style shootings in Ohio was caught in Las Vegas on Thursday, tripped up by an alert casino patron who recognized him as a wanted man.

Malsom notified Reuters he was at the Stardust casino on Tuesday and "about noon I had offered some pizza to a young man sitting a couple of chairs a way. When I looked him in the eye, I knew who that was. I had seen the USA Today photo a couple of hours earlier."

Harrah's Horseshoe Casino agreement gets another rescue - 2004-03-17
The three-way agreement to sell the closed Binion's Horseshoe Casino and Hotel finally closed last week despite an 11th hour bid to buy some of the land on which the downtown casino sits.

The close of the Horseshoe finally caps two months of elaborate maneuvering and intricate dealing since the 52-year-old Binion's Horseshoe Casino was closed in January by federal marshals acting on a U.S. district court order to seize about $1 million from the casino to pay off debts to health care and pension funds, thereby shutting down the casino.
