Report claims gaming is at top of list for minority jobs - 2004-03-17
If the country is serious about offering improved prospects to women and other minorities, then society can get further ahead by simply getting behind the gaming trade.

The study, entitled "2003 Gaming Industry Diversity Snapshot," was commissioned by the American Gaming Association (AGA) and contrasts the gender and racial composition of casino workers with the national workforce as well as the workforce in both the amusement/recreation and hospitality trades and the total workforce in the same 11 states where commercial casinos run.

Tribe Seeks Construction Of Casino In Bonner Springs - 2004-03-17
Plans for a destination resort and casino within close proximity to the Kansas Speedway are in the works, but not in Kansas City, Kan.

The proposed world-class resort hotel and casino would be constructed just south of State Avenue, west of North 118th Street.
Denney also pointed out the property is just across the street from a site on which two other tribes want to construct a casino resort. Denney stated he doesn't see why there isn't room for both resorts.
