Ohio sniper suspect taken into custody at Vegas motel - 2004-03-17
The man accused in two dozen sniper shootings that have terrorized motorists along Ohio highways was arrested at a Las Vegas motel early yesterday.

Police were notified of Mr. McCoy's whereabouts by a man who spotted him at the Stardust casino, identified him from news reports and found out where he was staying, Lt. Van Cleef said. Las Vegas police staked out the motel and caught Mr. McCoy in the parking lot.

Ohio Sniper Suspect Caught in Vegas - 2004-03-17
The suspect in a string of sniper-style shootings in Ohio was caught in Las Vegas on Wednesday, tripped up by an alert casino patron who identified him as a wanted man.

Malsom explained to Reuters he was at the Stardust casino on Tuesday and "about noon I had offered some pizza to a young man sitting a couple of chairs a way. When I looked him in the eye, I knew who that was."
