You don't have to be a video gamer to enjoy this quick-paced funhouse ride through what the subtitle calls "The History of a Global Obsession."
There's at least as much history as obsession to "Video Game Invasion," Sunday's two-hour unique marking the progess of what used to be called Game Show Network into just GSN, whose attention broadens with this week's name change to also feature games from casino to pranks to, yes, video.

Gambling Trade Lobbyists Splurge in Rhode Island - 2004-03-18
Not a single vote has yet been obtained this legislative session over gambling, but interested parties have already opened their checkbooks, purchasing billboards, radio and newspaper ads and mailing information to legislators and business officials.

In the first two months of this year, groups have squandered over $165,000 to get their message out, a hint of what may be spent if a question regarding permitting a casino in the state makes it to November's ballot.
