Ex-Nevada casino exec pursues congressional vacancy - 2004-03-18
Former casino executive Tom Gallagher publicly disclosed Thursday that he'll run as a Democrat in Nevada's Congressional Dist. 3 against first-term Republican Rep. Jon Porter.

Gallagher, making his introduction in Nevada politics, stated he has garnered strong support from Democrats at the state and national level, and expects his race will be highlighted this election year.

Critics, Casino Deliberate About Work Conditions - 2004-03-18
Coachella Valley locals and employees Tuesday returned to Sacramento to scrutinize working conditions at the Agua Caliente and Spa Resort casinos and to endanger the tribe's gambling initiative if it goes to the ballot.
