Arneault Sees 2005 As Year For Table Gambling - 2004-03-19
West Virginia's most high-profile gambling executive is betting that 2005 will be the year policymakers pass a bill opening the door to table gambling at the state's four racetrack casinos.
But Arneault contends his measure would simply allow gamblers to play live versions of poker, blackjack and other games they now play on touch-screen machines.
Though the legislation does not name The Greenbrier or any other property, it requires that a proposed table game casino be situated in a historic hotel with at least 500 rooms.
