New Star Trek feature takes off - 2004-03-19
The multi-million dollar Borg Invasion 4D, the new Star Trek entertainment attraction that uses a state-of-the-art technology and unique effects, debuted in "Star Trek: The Experience" at the Vegas Hilton last week.

"Star Trek: The Experience" is the invention of Paramount Parks, a top developer and operator of theme parks and attractions within North America and entertains over 13 million guests annually. In Las Vegas, the company also manages CBS Television City at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino.

Terrible's Town 250 receives the green flag - 2004-03-19
The Terrible's Town 250 off-road race will go on as scheduled April 24, but just barely, after a 3-2 vote of the Nye County Commission Tuesday.

Commissioners also offered the racing group, Best in the Desert, permission to use Nye County roads for the Vegas to Reno race June 25-26.
"Cars and truck will be scored at the finish line, then cruise down Wheeler Pass Road at about 15 miles per hour into the Terrible's Town Casino parking lot," Folks explained.
