March will be 'maddening' month for NCAA and casinos - 2004-03-02
Just as casinos, bars and restaurants are coping with the interference from the National Football League over Super Bowl promotions, the NCAA may be seeking to slam dunk their March Madness affairs.
When the NCAA was questioned whether it expected to reprimand any establishments, such as bars or casinos, for using its trademarked or licensed terms in those businesses' promotions, like for parties, commercials or merchandise giveaways, the counsel for the association responded, "Yes."
