It's nearly unfeasible to know exactly how much profit California's 52 casino-operating Indian tribes are taking in, due to sovereign nations, they don't have to inform anyone of how they spend their nickels, dimes and quarters.

The Indian Gaming Regulatory Act, which restricts casino management contracts to 30 percent of "net revenues," identifies them as "gross revenues of an Indian gaming activity, less amounts paid out as/or paid for prizes, and total operating expenses."
