Committee retains moratorium contesting new casino licenses - 2004-03-24
Iowa communities hoping to establish new riverboat casinos were dealt a setback Tuesday by a Senate panel as it authorized a major gambling measure.

The overall measure that cleared the House would change Iowa's casino tax structure, permit table games at racetrack casinos and eliminate cruising requirements for riverboats, among other provisions.
