Landmark casino to make second debut next month in Las Vegas - 2004-03-03
The legendary Binion's Horseshoe hotel-casino will make a second debut April 1 after gambling regulators abruptly licensed the property's new proprietor Wednesday.

The Nevada Gaming Commission voted overwhelmingly to award West Virginia-based MTR Gaming Group Inc. a gambling license that carried 10 conditions.
MTR owns Mountaineer Race Track & Gaming Resort in Chester, W.Va., and the Speedway Casino at the Ramada Inn in North Las Vegas.

Woman passing off bogus $20s in casino pleads guilty - 2004-03-03
Equipped with a computer and an ink-jet printer, Kathleen King of St. Charles produced over $7,500 in phony $20 bills, she confessed to a judge Wednesday.

She and Brian Zolotor, 45, of Ferguson, confessed they tried to pass $700 worth of the bills last Nov. 26 at the Ameristar Casino, officials stated. Zolotor pleaded guilty of possession of counterfeit currency.
