Expanded Casino Gambling Bill Going Through House - 2004-03-03
One of the most serious questions of this legislative session is whether or not a bill calling for extended gambling in Kentucky can pass this year. On Wednesday House Bill 636 took one big move forward as its sponsor, Louisville Democrat Larry Clark, passionately argued that if people from Kentucky are going to gamble, they should maintain their money at home.

Clark's plan calls for nine new casinos in Kentucky. To him, and to many lawmakers, it seems obvious: if individuals from Kentucky are going to gamble anyway, why not maintain their cash in Kentucky?

Harrah's Casino to Construct 450-Room Hotel Tower - 2004-03-03
Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. publicized that its Board of Directors authorized the construction of a
$142 million, 450-room hotel tower at Harrah's New Orleans Casino.

"Since our casino opened five years ago, Harrah's has drawn millions of tourists to the New Orleans market," explained Anthony Sanfilippo, Harrah's Central
