Virgin Group Unveils Debut Online Gaming Portal - 2004-03-04
Richard Branson’s Virgin Group has unveiled its plan to make its mark on the online gaming world with the up and coming launch of virgingames.com, planned for this June.

The virgingames.com pledges a diverse range of games, including a casino, instant win and arcade games, and bingo. This being Virgin, prizes are intended to range from CDs and DVDS TO first-class flights internationally and stays on Branson’s Luxury Necker Island in the Pacific Ocean.

Foes want RiverStone to prove venture is secure - 2004-03-04
More studies are required to decide if a proposed sand and gravel pit on Big Island is actually safe, experts retained by project foes reported Wednesday.

RiverStone Group has asked Rock Island to annex just over 200 acres at three sites close to Interstate 280 and Illinois 92 and grant the company special-use permits for dredging and running a processing plant. In exchange, RiverStone would sell its current sand and gravel site to Jumer's Casino Rock Island.
