Churchill proposes $28.5 million for Fair Grounds - 2004-03-04
Churchill Downs Inc. has proposed $28.5 million for the New Orleans Fair Grounds race track, according to a published report.

Bryan Krantz chose not to comment on the report of a Churchill Downs proposal, claiming that he is speaking to "a number of entities."

The Fair Grounds is in line to receive a slot machine casino. Constituents in Orleans Parish authorized the on-site gambling hall in October.
