Charity gambling measure is shame to this state - 2004-03-04
The charitable games measure speeding through the General Assembly has a loophole large enough to choke the state. Shame on the senators who voted it out of committee.

The measure sounds risk-free enough. It will permit reputable charities to have at least one fund-raiser annually constructed around raffles or some sort of lottery, though not casino gambling or bingo.
