Churchill proposes $28.5 million for Fair Grounds - 2004-03-04
Churchill Downs Inc. has proposed $28.5 million for the New Orleans Fair Grounds race track, according to a published report.

According to two sources described by The Times-Picayune of New Orleans as close to the settlements, roughly $20 million of the sale price would go to Louisiana horsemen who are owed at least $60 million for back payments on video poker proceeds for purses.
