California Casino Fumigating Following Flu Like Sickness - 2004-03-05
Health officials report a highly-contagious virus is at fault for flu-like sicknesses at the California casino downtown. They claim the virus exists on surfaces such as door handles and slot machines for up to a month.

The casino is currently using hospital-grade disinfectant to clean those places. It's also de-contaminating drapes and carpets with a fogger, and using plastic drink cups and even more powerful alcohol handwipes at slots.

$225M Casino Venture Scheduled for California - 2004-03-05
Plans to establish a $225 million casino project on Native American land in California are going forward. The North Fork Rancheria of Mono Indians today revealed that Station Casinos Inc. will produce and manage a gaming and entertainment project in Madera County, Calif.

Station Casino's intends to break ground on project in late 2006 or early 2007. The project, which features a 200,000-square-foot gaming facility and a hotel, will be finalized in 2008, the spokesman revealed.
