London Clubs concludes Aladdin story of woe - 2004-03-05
The Casino operator London Clubs International yesterday disclosed plans to generate £49m amid a debt refinancing, in a motion that draws a line under the Aladdin saga.

The Las Vegas Aladdin casino, in which it had a stake, filed for bankruptcy three years ago. Yesterday's fundraising and refinancing will allow London Clubs to settle all outstanding issues there for £6m.

A relocation could be in the future for Ocean's Eleven Casino, if a state ballot bill passes this November.

While the relocation of the cardroom and the establishment of a hotel could hinge on a possible ballot measure that would lure Ocean's Eleven 800 slot machines, officials have discussed moving the cardroom from its site on Brooks Street just east of Interstate 5.
