Seniors take a gamble at Vegas Day - 2004-03-06
Emma Hanselman is truly not a gambler at heart.
"I'm doing it for the fun," the 73-year-old Fort Gratiot resident admitted.
The seniors were provided with $200 in tokens as they walked into the Palmer Park Recreation Center. With that, they were able to press their luck at blackjack, beat the dealer, roulette, bingo as well as other games of chance.

She said she and her husband, Raymond, visit casinos in Detroit and other regions of Michigan, but go to the Point Edward Charity Casino across the river in Ontario infrequently.

A New York man faces a five-year prison sentence for the theft of over 180-thousand dollars in casino chips.
Authorities accuse Vick of masterminding the theft of 182-thousand,800 worth of chips from a high stakes blackjack table at the Trump Taj Mahal on April 23, 2002.

Police stated Vick had 24 five-thousand dollar-denomination chips from the casino in his possession when he was taken into custody during a prostitution sweep in New York days following the theft.
