Nonprofit organizations, competing for a shrunken pot of charitable dollars, are taking creative methods to raising money.
Gone are the days of double-digit returns that bulked the bank accounts of charitable foundations.

The $30-dollar-a-plate dinner featured a silent auction, raffle and casino at which participants could play blackjack and roulette for an opportunity to earn fun cash and gifts.
