Carlton will take no action against forward Brendan Fevola following an early-morning altercation with security staff at Melbourne's Crown casino.

The club claimed Fevola, 23, had run to the aid of a family member - purportedly his brother Jason - who became engrossed in a circumstance at a casino packed with grand prix revellers.

Rendell wants action on slot machine bid - 2004-03-07
Gov. Ed Rendell hasn't exactly been accurate when it comes to forecasting General Assembly action to authorize slot machines at state racetracks and off-track sites.

Last fall, he stated legislative action on slots should be wrapped up by Christmas. Then in early January, he stated he expected a vote by the end of February. But so far nothing has taken place.
He was at it again Friday, insisting that the Legislature must move by the April 27 primary on a measure he's brought in that would approve 12 slots casinos throughout the state.
