Those who would like the chance to play legal blackjack, poker, craps roulette or other types of table gambling at West Virginia race tracks will likely have to wait at least until next year.
Bills brought in the state House of Delegates and Senate didn't make it out of their respective legislative committees in time to be contemplated by either legislative body throughout the regular legislative session.

"Moon River" crooner Andy Williams was playing blackjack at the Trump 29 Casino last week when a friend approached and told him: "You better come quick, your mother-in-law ..."

Williams had taken family and friends to the casino for dinner and then offered mother-in-law Mary Jane Myer $100 in gambling money. The first-time gambler went for the slot machines while Williams and wife Debbie went to a blackjack table.
