Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Vegas Reports Historic Net Revenues - 2004-03-09
Hard Rock Hotel, Inc. ("Hard Rock"), which controls and runs the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, today reported 4th quarter net revenues rose $3.4 million, or 12%, to $32.4 million compared to $29.0 million in the year-earlier three-month period.

Quarterly net profits improved due mainly to increased casino and lodging profits. The Company's 4th quarter Adjusted EBITDA increased
mainly due to these increased revenues and an increased operating profit margin in the casino.

Group campaigns to support governor's attempts to bargain casino deals - 2004-03-09
A crowd of roughly 125 community activists, local elected officials and representatives of statewide organizations like the Sierra Club convened on the north steps of the state Capitol Tuesday to back Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's attempts to renegotiate compacts with California's casino tribes -- and ask the governor to include their concerns in the bargaining.

It also came as Schwarzenegger attempts to reverse key elements of those deals, particularly the current compacts' failure to cut the state in on a portion of the casinos' revenues.
